Utrecht Centre of Geosciences is a thematic collaboration in geoscientific research in which the following research groups from Utrecht University and TNO participate:
- The faculty of Geosciences: Earth Sciences, Physical Geography and Environmental Sciences
- The faculty of Science, Department of Biology: Botanic Paleo-ecology, Landscape ecology
- The faculty of Science, Department of Physics and Astronomy: Institute for Marine and Atmospheric Research Utrecht (IMAU)
- TNO Built Environment and Geosciences
UCG has a steering committee and a programme committee. Each committee has its own remit.
Steering Committee
The participating organisations are represented on this committee, which creates the frameworks for the thematic research plans. The committee members are the deans or deputy deans of the participating faculties and the director of TNO Built Environment and Geosciences.
